Jamie was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1975. His father was a Union Forklift Operator for Pepsi Cola and his mother was a receptionist for a group of eye doctors. He is the first of four children. When Jamie was 15 his family moved to East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. His parents still live in Middle Smithfield with their dog Tinkerbell. One of Jamie’s brothers lived in Tobyhanna for many years but has since moved back to Middle Smithfield to be closer to his parents. Jamie has a sister in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania and another brother in North Carolina.
Jamie is a graduate of East Stroudsburg High School – Class of 1993.
He then, with the assistance of an academic scholarship and student loans, matriculated at Penn State where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology – Class of 1998.
After college, Jamie attended New York Law School, in downtown Manhattan. He graduated in 2002 with a Juris Doctor degree.
Jamie is admitted to practice law in New York and Pennsylvania and maintains offices in both Manhattan and Delaware Water Gap.
Jamie is an experienced trial attorney and currently has a private practice which specializes in civil litigation. He only represents victims. Jamie has been fighting for victims’ rights his entire legal career. He is a member of the Monroe County Bar Association and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. While working with the Trial Lawyers Association he helped successfully lobby for legislation which directly support victim’s rights.
Jamie lives in Delaware Water Gap, with his wife Aubrey Lynn Possinger, their daughter Sophia, their dog Charlotte and cat Stitch. In addition, Jamie has two adult sons – Josh who also lives in Delaware Water Gap and works as a bartender/waiter in Stroudsburg, at Sara Street Grill and Jake who lives in Bethlehem and is working as a carpenter’s apprentice.
